Instagram, which has been around since 2013, allows brands to connect with a global audience of nearly 140 million people who spend a total of $8.3 billion per month on the platform.
Brands can also post their content to Instagram to reach influencers of all sizes.
As influencers, they can create content that’s targeted to their brand, audience, and demographics.
They also have a lot of influence with influencers as a whole, as the authors put it, as “companies and individuals will take note of their content.”
It is this influence that the authors see as the most important.
“While there are influencers out there, they are not the ones who are doing the hard work of getting brands to do the hard part, and that’s why the influaters are the ones with the power to drive the conversation,” they write.
Brands have to be proactive about engaging influencers with content they want to see on their platform, and they have to use it effectively.
“For the influors, it is very important to stay engaged,” the writers explain.
“We need to constantly stay in the loop and continually push them to engage with us.
