U.K. Prime Minister Theresa May says she’s “deeply concerned” by a report that the country has received more than 2,000 confirmed Ebola cases.
The BBC reports that “several dozen” people have tested positive for the virus, and the U,S., and Canada have confirmed nearly 3,000 cases each.
May said that “this is not acceptable,” and said she would take steps to protect the country’s health care system.
May has ordered a full review of the coronavirus response.
The U.N. has set a March 31 deadline for countries to declare the end of the pandemic, but it has not announced a timeline for countries’ own efforts to contain the virus.
