A Sydney woman has been left shocked after she was punched in the face by a male friend in a bar.

“I was trying to make friends with a guy and he was trying a little too hard,” she told 7.30.
“He was a little drunk, a little out of his mind.”
So he said, ‘What the fuck do you want to do, go to the bathroom?’
I said, I’m not going to go.
“We were trying to get to a place to go and he said he’s just not feeling well, so I just left.”
Ms Smith said she was told to stay and not talk to anyone by a staff member at the bar.
“The next thing I know, he starts punching me in the stomach,” she said.
“It was just a really bad situation and I just don’t know what to do.”‘
It was a very bad situation’Ms Smith claimed she had been punched in her right eye, her left cheek and both knees, before the attack took place.
“There’s blood everywhere, he’s got a beer in his hand, and he’s hitting me in my head with the bottle,” she added.
“This guy was really drunk, it was just the last minute.”

He’s punched me in this terrible way, in the mouth.
“In the end, I managed to get a good look at his face, so he’s not doing anything wrong.”
Police have launched an investigation.
